This weekend we celebrated MrB's mom's 50th and his grandfather's 88th birthdays. What a weekend! And you won't believe how much food we prepared.The highlight was the cakes. We spend almost an entire afternoon baking and decorating. I made a floral, colourful cake for my future mother-in-law and MrB made a chocolate cake for his grandfather.
It's a regular chocolate cake, covered in chocolate buttercream icing and finished off with plastic icing. All the work was inspired by the cake that MrB's sister and I made in May this year (view it). I am proud to say that MrB made his cake on his own with no help from me. It was creative and manly and perfect for an 88yr old.
